In the last week, amidst the flat business in the market, the fortunes of the big companies of the market have shone. According to exchange data, the market cap of 8 of the top-10 Sensex companies increased by Rs 42,173.42 crore last week. ICICI Bank, Infosys and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) have done the most in this. Tell that last week the 30-share Sensex of BSE has closed down by 131.56 points or 0.21 per cent.

Banking and IT sector companies benefit

Except for Reliance Industries (RIL) and Hindustan Unilever (HUL), the market cap of the remaining eight companies increased in a week. These include HDFC Bank, State Bank of India (SBI) and HDFC. During this, the market cap of ICICI Bank increased by Rs 9,706.86 crore to reach Rs 6,41,898.91 crore. Similarly, the market value of IT giant Infosys (INFOSYS) increased by Rs 9,614.89 crore, which has now increased to Rs 6,70,264.99 crore.

Increase in market cap of TCS and HDFC

The market cap of Tata Group company TCS has also increased by Rs 9,403.76 crore. It has increased to Rs 12,22,781.79 crore. The market value of Bharti Airtel has increased by Rs 5,869.21 crore to Rs 4,65,642.49 crore. The market value of the country’s largest housing finance company HDFC also increased by Rs 3,415.33 crore to Rs 4,85,234.16 crore.

Increase in market value of SBI

The market valuation of HDFC Bank increased by Rs 1,508.95 crore to Rs 8,99,489.20 crore. The market cap of the country’s largest public sector bank SBI has increased by Rs 1,383.32 crore, which has increased to Rs 5,37,841.73 crore after the market closed on Friday. The market value of Adani Enterprises, a company of Adani Group, has increased by Rs 1,271.1 crore to Rs 4,58,263.35 crore.

Market cap of big companies decreased

However, the market cap of 2 companies in the top-10 companies has decreased in a week. In this, the market value of Reliance Industries (RIL) decreased by Rs 22,866.5 crore to Rs 17,57,339.72 crore. However, despite this decline, RIL is at the first position in the list of the country’s largest companies in terms of market cap. According to exchange data, the market cap of FMCG sector giant Hindustan Unilever (HUL) declined by Rs 4,757.92 crore to Rs 5,83,462.25 crore.
