Zomato co-founder resigns: Online food delivery platform Zomato told in a regulatory filing on Friday that the company’s co-founder Mohit Gupta has resigned from his post. Gupta had joined Zomato about four and a half years ago. He was promoted from the post of CEO of the food delivery business to co-founder.

Zomato shared Gupta’s letter in a letter sent to BSE, in which he said, “Deciding to move on from Zomato, to explore other unknown opportunities that life throws at him.”

Deepinder Goyal said this on his resignation

Zomato founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal told Mohit Gupta, “You have been my brother and friend over the years. You have done a wonderful job here, bringing us back from the brink of extinction, has taken the business to new heights, brought us profits, and most of all, trained us over the years to be able to run such a large and complex business. Thank you.”
